I Love You All

As you can tell, thanks to Lady Susie, I now have the Alliance Blogroll up and running. (Sheesh, my bunny eyes overlook things!)

Horray!

Now, to give you an update:

I've been playing Nurse again today. Tink is not well.

I've done away with the carrot juice toddys. Those only seem to help us Rabbits get better.

RUM seems to be doing the trick for her, but how she can drink tea is beyond me. It's that Lipton's crap.

For me, it's Earl Grey or nothing.

A little likage for you... Silver Blue has a post that should have him kicked out of the blogsphere. I love that man, but there are times when my blue bunny heart has to question WHY?

He's going to be going to Choir tonight (from what I've heard, they're sounding better and better).

There's a funny story that he called and told me about Big Chris (the former pianist) IM'ing PoloRandy today and basically trying to play off the cantata that they're doing.

Just becuase you play piano, Chris, doens't mean that you're the be all and end all.

It was your choice to leave the church for another church.

It was your choice to not be completely honest with the people who took you in.

It was.... your choice.

Now, I've got to hop back in the kitchen and stir the chicken soup. Tink's just GOTTA get better...she's just GOTTA!

Thanks Pixy

Pixy Misa, wonderful leader in the land of Munuviana, has come up with a JavaScript for the residents of Mu.Nu. Now I don't have to cross my eyes trying to keep up with the stuff.

Hey ALLIANCE LEADERS: have you considered doing this for the Alliance? I'd use it if there were a blog roll script for it!

My gear, upclose and personal

I'll admit, it looks a lot better than I thought it would. Silver Blue got in his Bunny Gear yesterday (tote bag and Mousepad of MEEEEEEEE!). It doesn't look cheap. He's satisfied. I'm happy.

I stayed home today to try to take care of Tink (she's snoozing right now). Poor thing. Nurse Bunny to the rescue!

Charity Update

Ok, it's Monday. Time for an update:

All proceeds from Roxette Bunny™ gear go to the ASPCA. I've done very little mark up (I think the most is $1 per item). Winter is coming up and we need to remember our fellow furry friends during this time.

Last week's total: $2.00
This week's purchases: $0.00
Total to be donated: $2.00

I guess the only one who is really loved around here is me......... :(

Ahhh!

I woke up from a long overdue nap, hopped into the kitchen where I found Silver Blue had left me carrots and coffee. YUM.

The boys were grumbling, so I fixed them some honey waffles (hope you don't mind Tink -- I think there's only one left!), and then we all decided to clean up a bit.

A cat found it's way on the window ledge and watched us as we worked -- that is, until PBJr saw it and growled at the window. You should have seen the fur fly!

Anyway, we're trying to get things set up so that Tink, PoloRandy & Silver Blue can come in and start decorating for Christmas. We all look forward to seeing the house in some semblance of normalcy....after these long weeks of no heat and hotwater.

October 21, 2003

Well!

Sorry I haven't been blogging like I should have. I needed some downtime. Seems that everyone has something for the "little blue bunny" to deal with.

So! Instead of hopping (or flying) in with Silver Blue to work today, I decided to stay out in the vehicle, sunning myself, and catching up on some much needed rest.

Know that you all are still very special to me.

Hmmm. Suggestion!

Silver Blue is talking music and holidays.

I'd have to say my favorite is New Years. My least favorite is Easter, as every mistakes me for that bunny.

Travels?

I didn't travel down to Elizabeth City with PoloRandy and Silver Blue last night. Since they were having to swap cars, I didn't want to run the risk of being left in the wrong car.

PoloRandy was nice, however, and brought me some carrots from his Oriental Chicken Salad.

Tonight, I'm keeping Silver Blue company while he does the multimedia preparation for this weekend's 3 church services as well as working on a cookbook that will go with this year's christmas party.

Hop at you soon,

Alliance Assignment

The Assignment:

I hate Michael Moore. Frank J. hates Michael Moore. Everybody hates Michael Moore, including his own mother.

He wrote that Bowling for Columbine collection of lies, which received an Academy Award for "Best Documentary". When he waddled up to take it, he made a rude speech about ficticious wars and ficticious presidents, when he should've been talking about his own damn fictitious movie.

The cowards at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences refuse to revoke his Oscar. So Michael Moore gets to keep his award.

Fine.

If Michael Moore wants awards so bad, let's let him keep that stupid Oscar. In fact. Let's give him even MORE awards. Let's bury him in the kinds of awards he really deserves. Your assignment is to answer the question:

What award would you give Michael Moore?

(Hopping Up To The Microphone):

Hi, It gives me emmense pleasure to NOT give best picture, best fiction, or best soundtrack to Michael Moore. What we have, this year, is the "Most Likely To" awards. Mr. Bore, er... Moore, please stand and remain standing while we name the awards you've won!

Most Likely To Fabricate Information
Most Likely to Explode from Overeating
Most Likely to be mistaken for a baboon's posterior
Most Likely to give a nonsensical acceptance speech
Most Likely to annoy the general populace
Most Likely to have the crap beat out of after this ceremony
Most Likely to never get laid without paying for it
Most Likely to be cast as a body double for Jabba The Hutt
Most Likely to have his face plastered on "Wanted" posters at all you can eat buffets

and finally,
Most Likely to never appear in anyone's wet dream

Thank you. Now, Go to Hell. Do not pass Go. Do not collect another freakin' Oscar.

(Hopping away from the microphone)

My favorite food

Silver Blue's been handing out recipes. My favorite one is from Cracker Barrel. So... without delay...

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Carrot Cake

Notes:
Rounding out our recent mission at the Cracker Barrel, Judy Chatham came up with their wonderful Carrot Cake.

Ingredients:
3/4 C Finely chopped English walnuts
2 C Finely shredded carrots
1C Crushed pineapple (8oz can with juice)
1/2 C Finely shredded coconut
1/2 C Raisins that have been soaked in water until plump and then drained
1 1/4 C Vegetable oil
1 1/2 C Sugar
1/2 C Brown sugar
3 Eggs
3 C Flour
2 tsp Baking powder
2 tsp Baking soda
2 tsp Vanilla
2 tsp Ground cinnamon
1 tsp Ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp Ground cloves
1/2 tsp Salt

Preparation:
Mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Set aside. In a large bowl mix with beater oil, sugars, vanilla and eggs until smooth and fluffy. Add pineapple, walnuts, coconut, carrots, and raisins and blend well. Gradually add flour mixture a half at a time until blended through.

Pour batter into a greased and floured 9"x13" pan and bake at 350 for about 40-50 min. Test with toothpick for doneness. When cool frost with cream cheese frosting.

Cream Cheese Frosting

1 8oz Cream cheese
1 Stick of butter room temperature
1 tsp vanilla
2 C Powder sugar
1/2 C Chopped pecans for garnish

Blend cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and a little powder sugar at a time until all has been blend well. Turn mixer on high and beat until frosting is light and fluffy. Spread frosting over the cooled cake and sprinkle with pecans.

Hehehe

I got to stay home today .... I've been doing a lot of running around the past couple of weeks and such, so....

I found out where Tink and Silver Blue have hidden the carrots, I've found enough chocolate to coat the Statue of Liberty, the boys are trying to talk me into a game of Twister, how much more perfect could today be?

Hop at you later,

Mmmm...

Tink and Silver Blue made Beef Terriyaki this evening with carrots and baby corn. I've eaten enough that I'm sleepy, but very, very content.

Of course, being with PoloRandy and Silver Blue most of the weekend, I arrived home to find out that some of the rabbits (a common brown one named Gund, and a smaller grey one called Runt) had been giving Tink problems as she was trying to get a window open.

I had only two words for them. "Rabbit Stew".

They promised to shape up and misbehave no more.

Things look a little up

SilverBlue was able to get someone on the phone; seems that one of the main server drives went flaky and the backup DNS didn't kick in. They're working on the problem (and have been working, frantically, since I last wrote to you).

Maybe the bunny dance did some good! (And Susie: Of course I'll do that for you!)

SilverBlue's not having a good day

He is webmanager for 10 different sites (his included), and since about 11:15 eastern, they've all been down.

He can't get anyone on email support, and only gets voicemail when he calls their number (which so graciously recommends people email).

Poor guy. He came out to the car, pulling his hair out, and ask that I do a bunny dance to see if it will appease the Internet Gods.

So....here goes. (And no, I don't do the "Bunny Hop".)

It's a cloudy day

I hopped in with Silver Blue, but decided to stay in the car. It will be nice to see some rain without the hurricane force winds behind it. And maybe Mother Nature will put on a small light show for me.

How is everyone doing? I rarely get comments, but I do enjoy reading from everyone.

Gotta go before I run the laptop batteries down (Silver Blue's building has a wireless network and it partially bleeds to the parking lot).

Much love,
RB™

Party & Link

We had a party last night for the pianist in PoloRandy's choir. Once I get the photo of me with the cake (I was good and didn't put my paws in it), I'll get it up online.

I need to give a link to Tink because she discusses some of my lesser relatives.

Shocking total for Roxette Bunny™ gear profits to be donated to the SPCA: $0.00. C'mon people. Let's remember the less fortunate.

It's Annoy Tink Day!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee! I hopped in to work with Tink today, and I'm bouncing all over her desk, keeping her from being too productive.

I've found a stash of some good chocolate that she must have forgotten about, and was going to use this American Express card to buy some carrots, but I couldn't get the phone to work (my paws are small and she has a big phone in here).

Maybe I can convince her to bring some back from lunch. :-)

Hop at you later!

Well...

...after Silver Blue threatened to leave me in the car (after Tink was nice enough to bring me in). I'm finally in his office, doing dramatic interps as he laughs.

It's true. Laughter can be some of the best medicine. "I'm your Auntie BUNNY!" LOL.

The weather is getting chilly at night, so I made sure to leave out some carrots and such for my less fortnate relatives. We all deserve a fighting chance.

Hopped in

Well Idiot Boy managed to take off out of the house and forget me at home this weekend. There WILL be heck to pay, boy!

I know he's under a lot of stress, though, so I can't be but so much of a Rabbich (hat tip to D3 for coining the phrase). Tink's been very kind and keep my going with carrot cake donuts from Krispe Kreme, and she's going to take me in to CHK tomorrow so I can deal with Mr. Blue directly. Sounds like he's had a busy weekend, though.

Yawn

Sorry everyone that I haven't posted much. I guess the stress of Isabel just got to me and now that things are returning to normal, I'm just worn out. Thanks, Tink and Silver Blue, however, for getting Krispe Kreme Carrot Cake donuts and leaving them for me. They're really good...especially with their cream cheese filling. :-) I'm one happy bunny.

Land of the Cow Puppies

How I hope a cow puppy is a dalmation. And not a small, squat aminal one must milk. And who was the first person who said "I think I'll pull on those dangly things under that animal and drink what comes out"????

I stayed home today, basking in front of the fan, reading a book (this one, actually: View image)

Tink and Silver Blue won't be home until later...and I thought it time to have a little MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE time.

Love to you all,
RB™

Phew.

While Tink and Silver Blue were cleaning out the fridge, boiling water to do laundry and dishes, I helped put some of the stuff away the boys had forgotten to while we all were at the condo.

Kinda like cleaning up after a vacation. It sucks. But Tink and Silver Blue made sure I had plenty of carrots to eat, so I'm content, if a bit more than just a little "stiff" from hopping all over the place and barking orders. :-)

Sweet bunny dreams,
RB™
